Dmitry Medvedev: Pashinyan is pursuing a path extremely dangerous for Armenia

The people of Armenia risk losing access to the Russian market and the entire Eurasian Economic Union as a result of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s dangerous policy, said Dmitry Medvedev in response to a question from RIA Novosti.

According to the source, Medvedev had previously stated that Pashinyan had chosen a path aimed at severing relations with Russia.

“It seems that he considers us foolish. At the same time, he himself has made a serious miscalculation and is pursuing a course that is extremely dangerous for his country,” the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council said.

“Think about it: as a result of the actions of this very unique individual, the people of Armenia will lose the Russian market, the entire Eurasian Economic Union, and economic ties built over decades,” he added.

Medvedev also warned that Pashinyan’s policies could force Yerevan to purchase Russian gas at European market prices, which he said are three times higher than the current rate. He suggested that the Armenian Prime Minister ask citizens whether they are prepared to accept such a price.
