Armenia will work in the EAEU until the moment when choosing between the EAEU and the EU becomes inevitable – Nikol Pashinyan

Armenia attaches importance to relations with Russia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced.

“We are establishing new relations with Russia, I am sure that we will succeed in this,” he noted.

Pashinyan noted that Armenia is working and will continue to work in the EAEU until the moment when choosing between the EAEU and the EU becomes inevitable.

“Until the moment when Armenia has not officially applied for EU membership or is not very close to the status of a candidate for EU membership holding any referendum is illogical, because the balance is not formed so that we can present a choice to the people,” Nikol Pashinyan emphasized.

He said that Armenia will continue working within the Eurasian Economic Union without tension and without disputes.

“We still have potential in this direction, which we will use in the near future,” Nikol Pashinyan added.
