Former Yerevan mayor and former minister Gagik Beglaryan arrested

Former Yerevan Mayor and former Minister of Transport and Communications Gagik Beglaryan has been arrested, the Anti-Corruption Committee informed Aysor.am.

“In response, we confirm that the former Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Armenia G.B. has been arrested within the framework of criminal proceedings being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The latter is accused of abuse of official authority and money laundering of particularly large amounts. A motion to detain G.B. has been submitted to the court,” the Committee reported.
