805 people denied RA citizenship

In 2025, 805 applications for citizenship of the Republic of Armenia were rejected, the acting head of the staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Khachatur Poghosyan, announced in the National Assembly.

He noted that there are no separate statistics indicating whether any of the 805 applicants were forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh.

“According to my information, such cases are almost excluded, because the Migration and Citizenship Service reviews applications from our compatriots forcibly displaced from Artsakh under a special procedure and in the shortest possible time. As far as I recall, there have been no such cases,” Poghosyan emphasized.
