Armenia’s choice between the EU and the EAEU is already a pressing issue – Lavrov

Armenia continues to remain a full member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

At the same time, Lavrov noted that Armenia’s choice between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union has already become a pressing issue.

According to him, Armenia has adopted a law on launching the process of accession to the European Union, making the question of the country’s future participation in the Eurasian Economic Union increasingly relevant and requiring a timely resolution.

“At the moment, there is no discussion about withdrawing from the Eurasian Economic Union. However, Armenia has already adopted a law on joining the EU, so the issue is urgent and must be resolved quickly,” Lavrov said at a press conference.
