I have been working with the Russian President for more than 8 years - he is a rational person – Pashinyan

Nikol Pashinyan stated that he has been working with Russian President Vladimir Putin for more than eight years, adding that he considers him a rational leader who relies on facts and arguments.

“If there are concerns, we will patiently dispel those concerns. There are no problems,” Pashinyan said, responding to a question about Armenian-Russian relations and the absence of a congratulatory message from Putin.

Referring to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Prime Minister noted that there are two formats involving his participation: meetings of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council and sessions of the Supreme Economic Council. “We will continue our work in these formats,” he said.

Asked whether Russia might refuse to recognize the election results, Pashinyan stressed that Russian observers were included in the monitoring mission and that the mission had already issued its conclusion.

“The rest is a matter of rhetoric. We will discuss it,” he added.
