Investigative Committee: Two Strong Armenia MP candidates detained, four declared wanted

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has issued a statement:

“As we have already reported, during the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings conducted by the General Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases and the Department for the Investigation of Electoral Crimes of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, regarding material benefit involving numerous persons and money laundering on a particularly large scale, public criminal prosecution was initiated against six Strong Armenia MP candidates under Part 2 of Article 46-236 and Point 3 of Part 3 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, two of the accused were detained, while a detention order was issued for four others, who have been declared wanted.”
