CSTO member states discuss Armenia’s status and possible deprivation of voting rights in case of non-payment of membership fees
Armenia has not paid its membership fees for three years, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadikov said.
He noted that Armenia “practically does not participate in the organization’s work, while de jure it remains a full member of the CSTO.”
Masadikov added that CSTO member states are discussing Armenia’s status and the possible deprivation of its voting rights in case of continued non-payment of membership fees.
“Yes, this issue is being discussed. A session of the Council of Foreign Ministers was recently held in Kazan, where the foreign ministers discussed this issue in detail,” he said.
