I instructed Armen Grigoryan to discuss with Hajiyev whether there is a need for a meeting – Pashinyan (Video)

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he had instructed Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan to discuss with his Azerbaijani counterpart Hikmet Hajiyev whether there is a need for a meeting.

“I instructed Armen Grigoryan to discuss with his Azerbaijani counterpart whether there is a need for a meeting or not,” Pashinyan told reporters, referring to the Grigoryan-Hajiyev meeting.

“We saw certain trends in the expert circles of both Azerbaijan and Armenia that could escalate the situation, and we are engaged in managing those risks. We have not provided anyone with any explanations,” Pashinyan said, responding to a question on whether discussing Armenia’s domestic political life with Azerbaijan could be seen as humiliating from a statehood perspective.
