Motion filed to extend Armen Ashotyan’s detention by two months

The investigative body has filed a motion to extend the detention of Armen Ashotyan by two months, lawyer Ruben Melikyan reported.

The motion will be considered by the Anti-Corruption Court tomorrow, July 2, at 6:30 p.m.

“Let me remind you that Ashotyan was taken into custody on June 5, and the court imposed a one-month detention order. Taking into account the 777 days he spent in detention in the previous case, Armen Ashotyan’s total time in custody under the current authorities has already exceeded 800 days,” the lawyer said.
