I regret that Alen Simonyan is not taking the MP mandate, says Andranik Kocharyan

Andranik Kocharyan, chairman of the National Assembly’s Defense Committee, said he regrets that Alen Simonyan will not take up his parliamentary mandate.

“One thing is obvious: after the snap elections, when Mr. Simonyan became National Assembly speaker, he did not fail in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him,” Kocharyan told reporters.

Asked about his own plans, the Civil Contract MP said he would take the mandate.

“If there are other proposals, only then can we consider what path to take,” Civil Contract deputy said.
