Sarik Minasyan terminates Gyumri Council of Elders mandate, to become MP

The head of the Civil Contract faction in the Gyumri Council of Elders, Sarik Minasyan, has announced that he is stepping down as a member of the council.

“Dear friends, dear residents of Gyumri, I consider it necessary to inform you that I have submitted an application to terminate my powers as a member of the Gyumri Council of Elders.

I will continue my political activities as a deputy of the National Assembly, remaining by the side of Gyumri and its residents with broader powers and the same dedication. My city needs caring and professional governance, the absence of which makes early elections to the Council of Elders inevitable,” Minasyan wrote.
