Narek Karapetyan will not be detained (video)

Narek Karapetyan will not be detained, as the Central Electoral Commission has rejected the petition submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“The Central Electoral Commission has returned the petition. There will be no question of imposing a preventive measure – arrest or house arrest,” lawyer Aram Vardevanyan told reporters.

Vardevanyan predicts that Narek Karapetyan will soon be charged with absurd offenses and that a preventive measure will then be sought.

Earlier, the Central Electoral Commission had given its consent to indict Narek Karapetyan.
