State support for apartment purchase certificates for orphanage graduates to increase from AMD 6.3 million to AMD 8.7 million
The government approved a draft decision at today’s cabinet session on making changes and additions to the process of providing apartment purchase certificates (APCs) to graduates of orphanages in the Republic of Armenia. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reported this.
Accordingly, the issue of providing housing to orphanage graduates and students who have acquired the right to receive an apartment purchase certificate but have not yet completed the necessary procedures, as well as those who applied for an APC after the established deadline, will be regulated.
The amount of state support provided under the apartment purchase certificate program will also be revised, increasing from AMD 6.3 million to AMD 8.7 million.
The ministry noted that AMD 1.9 billion was allocated from the state budget in 2019 to provide apartment purchase certificates to graduates of RA orphanages, enabling 289 people to use the program. Under the new changes, an additional 21 people will have the opportunity to purchase an apartment using an apartment purchase certificate.
