Georgia: opposition calls for anti-government rallies

‘For United Georgia’ Movement is planning to hold an anti-governmental rally, according to the Georgia Online Agency citing movement’s Secretary General Mrs. Eka Beselia.

Eka Beselia said some consultations would be held with those forces which didn’t intend to be reconciled with the current governmental regime. She said it was impossible to change Georgian government through local elections.

“If my friends make a decision to run for government, I’ll help them exactly with my support, not with participation” said Eka Beselia.

100 000 people should step in the streets moving to the building, which belongs to the people, to overthrow Saakashvili, according to politician. The political consensus is necessary, she said, but if it isn’t reached then a ready-for-service group should change the government.
