International School Olympiad’s prize-winners awarded
Today, Armenia’s Ministry of Education and Science hosted and honored participants of the 2009 International School Olympiad.
Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotian welcomed and congratulated the participants. He praised the efforts of Armenian teams who traditionally managed to win among more than a hundred other participants.
“We’ve got four prizes from six. So this marks the year’s achievements in field of education, in addition to sport victories,” he said.
Firstly, the awards were handed to gold medalists in Astrological Contest, Hayk Tepanian from Kvant College and Hayk Hakobian from School of Physics and Mathematics. Secondly, silver and bronze winners Vahagn Kirakosian (Mathematics), Vahagn Aslanian (Mathematics), Vahe Galstian (Physics), Hyke Saribekian (Informatics), and Mikael Sukiasian (Informatics) were awarded with prizes. All the winners received personal computers.
Money prizes and diplomas were awarded to Armenian Olympic teams’ teachers and directors.
