A barrier between Egypt and Israel to be constructed

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu approved the country would close off its southern border with Egypt by building a wall to prevent the illegal migration.

At first, a two-sectioned fence will be built along the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip as well as in the area of the southern Israeli spa city of Eilat.

The project will cost 1,5 billion shekels, this is about $350 million, and will close Israel along 200 kilometers. The barrier will also include technological measures such as radars to detect the entry.
