Azerbaijani journalists foretell European Court’s decision

Azerbaijani 1NewsAz agency has released an article entitled “The European Court to rule against Armenia in June 15,” referring to the hearing to be held on June 15 by the European Court in case of Ashot Haroutyunian, born in 1952, who died in prison in Kosh in 2009. The case by late Ashot Haroutyunian is being continuing by his daughter, Arousiak Haroutyunian, who applied to the Court and pointed at violation of some articles of the European Convention on Human Rights. 

It’s unclear whether the Azerbaijani agency has its own informant at the European Court that it can make such kind of categorical statements ahead of heariong on what will the court rule on the case. Or may be this is an act of fortune-telling by the Azerbaijani agency that is envious of Michel Nostradamus’s laurels.

However, it was repeatedly mentioned in media, that Azerbaijan turns out well not only in terms of being informed about certain cases and results of hearings, but successfully promotes their interests in the European Court.
