Zurabyan does not remember Kokobelyan expressing disagreement

“The Armenian National Congress (ANC) is a field for 18 parties’ collaboration, and we never intervene in party affairs. Cadre changes can be made in any party, there can be some disputes or discussions, but we never interfere in them. For us, parties’ contribution is measured by their work in the ANC Board and Headquarters,” ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan told a press conference today, when speaking about the issue of Armenian National Movement Board Chairman’s confidence and Vice Chairman’s resignation.

According to the oppositionist, he has never heard ANM leadership express disagreement to ANC policy. He also mentioned that ANM was represented at ANC Political Board meetings by the very Board Vice Chairman Khachatur Kokobelyan.

“I do not remember Kokobelyan expressing disagreement to Congress policy, on the contrary, he completely supported everything Congress did,” the speaker said.

In response to a correspondent’s question of whether ANM may run for the coming elections individually, not as part of ANC, L. Zurabyan said: “There is no signal about it. I would not say such a thing, there is no such information.”

Note that ANM Vice Chairman Khachatur Kokobelyan resigned his office at the meeting held in Saturday and party Chairman Ararat Zurabyan raised a question of confidence. The Board unanimously made a decision not to place the issue of confidence on the agenda, Spokesman for ANM Karen Karapetyan told aysor.am.
