Digital Broadcast Contest kicked off in Armenia

Armenia’s National Commission of Television and Radio (NCTR) announced on July 20 a contest, aimed at determination of channels who will win the Digital Broadcast Licenses, told Aysor a spokeswoman to NCTR Lilit Gazazian. 

She said that within the period from 83rd and 93rd days (October 10-20 of 2010) after the contest was announced, the applicants must request for participation, and deliver all the necessary documents.

The list of contestants will be issued on the commission’s web-site on October 22. The ceremony of handing over the licenses will take place on December 16 at 11 am local time. The contest will make a selection of 18 channels out of 22 currently operating ones.
