Chaqryan: “Attending the liturgy in Surb Khach is a subtle point”

“Every state, while organizing any event corresponds it with its own interest. Turkey as well does the same, and there is nothing to get surprised at. The liturgy to be held on September 19 should be attended, but we should be constrained there and shouldn’t become a part of the show,” thinks Hakob Chakryan, Turkologist and political columnist.

He thinks that attending the liturgy in Surb Khach church of Akhtamar is a very subtle issue, “the issue of going there and not going there will be speculated by both sides. Turkey has announced to the whole world that has organized an event and has invited the Armenian side. We simply have to make up a correct decision,” the Turkologist said.
