Nikoyan: Day will come making knowledge of a high-priority
Amid the beginning of the new academic year, the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) hosted Wednesday a meeting between professors, university staff and students.
SEUA rector Professor Vostanik Maroukhian congratulated the students on the occasion of the Knowledge Day and said that the polytechnic university is not only a place which masters high-skilled specialists, but it plays a special role in country’s life as it alumni-- political, government figures and persons of culture – up to now serve the nation and the state.
Among attendees of the meeting was also Vice Speaker, Chairman of the SEUA Council and a SEUA graduate Samvel Nikoyan. He said that “the SEUA has a perfect background for mastering the students.”
“Whatever you do and wherever you work after graduating the SEUA, just remember that you received here important knowledge and skills, and first of all, the algorithm of thinking and actions, an engineering thinking,” he said in his speech.
Samvel Nikoyan told media that may be today the values in Armenia are not highlighting knowledge as the condition of a high-priority that can contribute to a self-realization. “However, I hope that we are nearing the day when knowledge will become a priority to any person, and will help to reach success,” said politician.
It’s worth mentioning that during the meeting, Prof. Vostanik Maroukhian handed over to honored lecturers the Golden SEUA Medals, and the university diplomas to alumni.
