NA Vice Speaker relieved of position but not expelled from party

Arevik Petrosyan was relieved of her position as National Assembly Vice Speaker in accordance with Prosperous Armenia party’s resolution, member of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction Vahe Enfiajyan told a news conference.

“Our party passed this resolution but it does not mean that Arevik Petrosyan is expelled from the party,” Enfiajyan said.

According to Enfiajyan, the party will pass a resolution on appointment of new Vice Speaker one of these days. He refused to explain why Prosperous Armenia suddenly decided to change the Vice Speaker.
