6.1-magnitude quake hits Tajikistan
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has struck the central Asian republic of Tajikistan, the US Geological Survey said, as reported by Reuters.
It said the quake occurred at a depth of 89.5 kilometers, 106 kilometers south-west of Karakul.
A witness said the quake was felt in the Tajik capital Dushanbe, but the tremors were not very strong.
