“We should create a standard military image”

We face a conceptual problem; facts and generalization of facts. Nobody says that the facts about murders should be concealed or the army should be presented in rosy lights. The most important question is how general those facts are, deputy director of Literature Institute Vardan Devrikyan said to press conference today.

The speaker raised a question, how fair and how close to the reality the image of the Armenian commander created today is? Whether that image promotes the recovery of our army or it has an opposite result?

According to him, if you call someone a “vagrant”, a criminal for a long time, the person gets inhibited and gets that image and psychology.

“Today the commanding staff of our Army hears all the time people saying, “You are sadists, you beat people,” Devrikyan mentioned and added that such attitude will not lead to any good thing.

“We should create a concept of an ideal-standard, image of a soldier, which will not be fake, and far from the reality. It should be an ideal-standard, with which the image of today’s commander will relate,” Vardan Devrikyan assured.
