Sects become active following natural disasters

Psychologist Hrant Avetisyan believes that the Japan earthquake has mentally affected many peoples that have once experienced a similar tragedy, including the Armenian people.

He called for solidarity noting that various religious sects become active following natural disasters.

“Sects, unconscientious political forces start hunting. You should just realize that earthquake is a natural disaster and should not yield to dubious organizations,” according to the expert.

Meanwhile, he said that there is no panic in Japan, thanks to the state approach, preparedness, national culture and discipline of the Japanese people.
