Stepan Safaryan: “We raised the voice of people”

"The hunger strike was an action for concentrating the public attention on him. The given task was partially completed and the attention of the public was concentrated on him as well as on the problems presented by him," said today Lernik Alexanyan, NA deputy of Republican Party touching upon the hunger strike organized by the leader of the “Heritage” party Raffi Hovhannisyan.

He also mentioned that those problems were not new for the Republican Party and that the Hovhannisyan used that method to get the attention of the people.

“During 15 days of the hunger strike all the people were busy with the question who came and who approached and why, who supported and who didn’t… Such issues are secondary,” said Stepan Safaryan the head of the “Heritage” party who was present at the press conference.

He mentioned that the last two weeks have been significant, “A very essential thing happened during these two weeks; more than 20 thousand people came to the Liberty Square to support him. This means that we have raised the voice of the people.”
