Pedro Rodriguez extends his Barcelona contract

Spanish World Cup-winner Pedro Rodriguez has extended his contract at Barcelona by one year to 2016, the European club champions announced on Tuesday, AAP reported.

His departure clause will increase from 90 million euros ($A122.44 million) to 150 million euros ($A204 million).

Pedro, 23, was a key member of the Spain team that won the country's first ever World Cup in 2010.
