Yerevan Zoo turns 70 this year

Yerevan will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of its Zoological Park this year.

The park’s construction began in 1941, was temporarily suspended during World War II and was finally completed in 1950.

Yerevan Zoo has always played an important role in the lives of Armenian citizens.

The park management asks everyone who has photos or videos taken at the park, dating before 2000, to e-mail them to [email protected].

Citizens will be given a Zoo ticket for each photo.
