Yerevan prepares to host ReAnimania Festival
Yerevan will host Third ReAnimania International Animation Film Festival from September 14 to 19.
Many foreign guests will arrive in Armenia for the festival, Artistic Director Lusine Kasarjyan told reporters.
320 bids have been received from 40 countries. The festival includes competition and children’s programs and an open air show.
Armenian filmmakers are rather active this year, festival’s founder Vrezh Kasuni said.
Festival’s program “20-year-old Independent Animation” is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, with films by the best Armenian filmmakers created over the past 20 years.
6 full-length and 125 short films will be screened on the sidelines of the festival. 5 film premieres will take place during the festival. The Moscow and Nairi Cinemas, the Naregatsi Art Institute, and the Puppet Theater will host the film screenings.
