Ambassador of Bulgaria hands his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan

Today the newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia, Georgy Karastamatov, handed in his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan, President’s Press Office said.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in our country and wished him every success he also expressed his hope that the Ambassador will contribute to the reinforcement of Armenian-Bulgarian relations.

The two stressed that the centuries-old friendship and warm attitude between the Armenian and Bulgarian peoples are favorable basis for the continuous development of relations which serves as stimulus for development.

Serzh Sargsyan and the Ambassador stressed the importance of formation of the legal-contractual field between the two countries, mutual exchange of visits in different spheres, activation of Armenian and Bulgarian intergovernmental commission which will activate the political dialogue of two.

The two sides emphasized the importance of cooperation within international organizations.
