Aram Sargsyan not to run his candidacy for presidential elections

The country needs to undergo system changes, otherwise no election will lead to any change. The elections of Local Governmental Bodies will be held just like the parliament elections were held, which means that no changes should be expected. The presidential elections will defer if there will be competition, said Aram G. Sargsyan at the press conference.

He noticed that he will not run his candidacy in presidential elections to be held on February, “Let’s not be foolish,” he said and added that if the current president starts to implement changes now and if the changes give their results, the Democratic Party of Armenia will support the president during the elections.

“The present president may implement serious changes in the country using his levers,” A. Sargsyan said.

He noticed also that he doesn’t think the ANC is an alternative.
