Gallup: 69% of Yerevan residents content with work of police

The Armenian Office of Gallup International Association and Armenian Marketing Association NGO conducted a survey among Yerevan residents in November 2012. The respondents were asked to assess work done by the police and the Yerevan Municipality over the past year.

The survey was carried out in the period of November 10-20, with 1,066 citizens being surveyed.

When asked to assess the work of the police over the past year, 69% of Yerevan residents gave a positive answer (17% a completely positive answer), 25% said there was no change in the work, and 5% assessed the work of policemen negatively.

In response to the question about how the use of speedometers has affected traffic in Yerevan, 59% said that this has made traffic safer, 28% said there have been no changes, and 6% said that traffic has become more dangerous. In the opinion of 37% of drivers, their driving manner has changed after the introduction of speedometers.
