Nutritionist: Drink bitter drinks over holidays
Nutritionist Gayane Ghazarian recommends avoiding unfamiliar food and taking drinks with a bitter taste during the New Year’s holidays, explaining that sweet food slows down metabolism.
“Being physically active is also important. I advise you to dance, sing, and enjoy yourself a lot. Eat as much as you are used to,” the nutritionist said at the meeting with journalists.
In order to avoid food poisoning over the holidays, it is best to make salads in small amounts and season them with mayonnaise or sour cream only before serving them.
According to Head of the Hygienic-Epidemiological Inspection of the Ministry of Health Margarita Babayan, food poisoning may be caused by mushrooms, greasy food, dried fruits, and alcohol taken together.
