Zurabian becomes cautious

“Zhamanak” daily reports that “the recording of the eavesdropped Oskanian-Zurabian conversation has been edited: the edited version included parts of a one-hour conversation. After the eavesdropping incident at “Rich” Café owned by relatives of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction deputy Samvel Alexanian, Levon Zurabian, who is a deputy of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction, has become more cautious, even when being recorded by reporters.

When asked by the daily if he will continue meeting with Vartan Oskanian, Zurabian replied: “Has anything changed? Let the authorities think about their criminal action”. There is an opinion that the eavesdropping of the conversation was aimed against Levon Zurabian because he is the candidate of Levon Ter-Petrosian. Asked if he is prepared to be a presidential candidate, in the event that Ter-Petrosian or the HAK takes such a decision, Zurabian replied that at the moment there are no grounds for such talks.
