Tigran Sargsyan to be reappointed?

There are talks among members of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) that after the presidential election Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will be reappointed to the same post and head the new government.

According to “Zhamanak” daily, the meetings that the prime minister had during his visit to the U.S. serve as a basis for such an opinion.

In the U.S. the Armenian prime minister met with CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Daniel W. Yohannes. The sides discussed the opportunities of refinancing the program in Armenia. Besides, Tigran Sargsyan met with U.S. Vice President Jo Biden, which has happened rarely during visits of Armenians prime minister to the U.S. Taking these meetings into account, most members of HHK are sure that T. Sargsyan will be reappointed to his post.
