New female candidate emerges

The Head of the Passport and Visa Department of the RA Police Hovhannes Kocharian yesterday told a correspondent of “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily that three persons have already received certificates confirming that they have permanently resided in the Republic of Armenia in the past ten years and are Armenian citizens. This certificate is mandatory for those who are nominated as presidential candidates.

H. Kocharian said that certificates were given to the following persons: Aram Karapetian (Chairman of the New Times Party), Vardan Sedrakian (epos expert) and Ms. Zaruhi Harutyunian. It is still not known who this woman is. According to some information, she is a doctor.
