Aram Sargsyan not to run for President

The 6th convention of “Republic” party took place at the Session Hall of the Armenian government today. Armenia’s political figures and representatives of various political forces attended the convention.

In his speech made at the convention, the leader of Republic Party Aram Sargsyan declared that he will not run in the presidential election due on 18 February 2013.

Aram Sargsyan apologized to those members of Republic Party who had asked him to be a candidate in the upcoming election.
He promised to continue taking an active part in the political processes of Armenia.
