“Majority of BHK electorate to vote for HHK”

The nomination of Hrant Bagratian would create a competitive atmosphere in the presidential election, deputy of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Ms. Karine Achemian said at a meeting with reporters today. She considered it important to hold the upcoming presidential election in such an atmosphere.

‘There is some disagreement within the Armenian National Congress (HAK). I think this prevents them from uniting. It would a good thing if they rallied round a candidate,” she noted.

She expressed an opinion that a presidential run-off is unlikely, while the majority of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) electorate will vote for HHK.
