HAK members unaware of Ter-Petrosian’s decision

The members of Armenian National Congress (HAK)are unaware of the first Armenian President Levon-Ter-Petrosian’s decision not to run for President.

In the morning we called Chairman of Freedom party, HAK member Hrant Bagratian. Mr. Bagratian said he had no information about that.

Prior to learning of Ter-Petrosian’s interview to “Chorrord Ishkhanutyuin” newspaper, HAK member Gurgen Yeghiazarian said: “I think he will run in the election”. 

Upon learning of the interview, he was surprised and asked us what paper published the interview, whether the paper quoted the words of Lvon Ter-Petrosian himself, and so on.

Our calls to other members of HAK remained unanswered.
