Two important events in Oskanian’s life in 2012

“If I failed to live up to anyone’s expectations by my activities in 2012 – be it personal, political or civil activity – I beg their understanding. But I want to say that life is going on and there are so many things ahead,” the former Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian wrote on his Facebook page.

He noted that there have been two important events in his life in 2012 – his return to active politics, and secondly, the criminal case that the National Security Service opened against him. 

“I have repeatedly spoken about both events in my interviews, speeches, and my Facebook notes this year. I have nothing to add at the moment. I can only say that my political and civil activities have pursued one purpose – to promote the establishment and development of Armenian statehood.
