Bonus-malus system in effect since January 1, 2013

A bonus-malus system took effect on January 1, 2013.
According to Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau, the bonus-malus system (BMS) is a system of discounts in the premium or increases in it, used in the sphere of APPA (Compulsory Insurance of Vehicles in Armenia). The system adjusts the premium paid by a driver according to his/her insurance history.
Thanks to BMS, those drivers who did not have an APPA accident within 270 days before January 1, 2013, will get a 3% discount or bonus in the premium – for the agreements signed after January 1, 2013.
