Precipitation forecast for January 7
There will be cloudy in Armenia on January 6-7; precipitation is expected, mostly in western regions. The air temperature will rise a bit at night, Meteo-TV reported.
Fog and low visibility are likely in some areas, the wind may reach 20 mps. Snowstorms are possible in mountains and mountain passes, motorways may be covered with ice.
“Attention. The Ministry of Transport and Communication warns that as of 10.30 pm of January 6 it was snowing in a number of Armenian regions: Aparan, Alagyaz, Hrazdan, Sevan, and Selim mountain pass. It was cloudy near Talin and Chambarak motorways, there was low visibility and a snowstorm in Aparan. The Selim mountain pass was passable, but covered with ice in some sections.
According to the Emergency Situations Department of Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Stepantsminda-Lars Highway is open only for passenger cars and up to 30-seater buses,” the report says.
A partly cloudy weather and occasional precipitation are expected in Yerevan on January 7. The temperature will be -3-5 at night, +1+3 in the afternoon, 0-2 in the evening.
