R. Hovannisian: There will be struggle of Armenias of Serzh and Raffi

Presidential candidates Paruyr Harikian and Hrant Bagratian are worthy rivals to both the incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan and Raffi Hovannisian, the leader of Heritage Party, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian stated at a meeting with reporters today.
In his words, during the presidential election an electoral revolution should take place, by means of which the people will destroy the power, coercive, tax and customs system.
“I respect all the candidates, especially Paruyr Hayrikian and Hrant Bagratian. The easiest thing is to sit at home … but they chose to run in the election,” R. Hovannisian noted.
As for the opinion that the upcoming presidential election will not be competitive, R. Hovanisian considered such talks incorrect.
“Those who sit at home are participating in the triumphal march of civil and political obedience. Non-participation will ensure reproduction of the authorities, which must be ruled out,” he said.
In conclusion, Raffi Hovannisian stated: “There will be a struggle between Armenias of Serzh and Raffi on February 18: this is going to be a struggle between the de facto Armenia and the de jure Armenia”.
