“If the election is rigged, I anticipate civil struggle in square”

In case of a free and fair presidential election, the presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian is prepared to congratulate the winner or to accept congratulations. The leader of Heritage Party, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian said that at a meeting with reporters today.

“If the election is rigged, I anticipate that the civil struggle in the square will continue after February 19,” he stated.
According to him, there will be various surprises, civil manifestations, unusual moves in the presidential election, but if a free competition field is ensured (this is what he demanded in his letter to the Armenian president), then a classic election struggle will take place.

R. Hovannisian did not share the opinion that the election outcome is predictable and predetermined. “Those who say this are scoffing at Armenian citizens and the Armenian people. I call on everyone to become part of this political process because the dawn will not come on February 19, if on February 18 we will not go to the polls”.
