Appeal to presidential candidates: “Leave Serzh Sargsyan alone”

“I appeal to all the presidential candidates, except Serzh Sargsyan, to withdraw their candidacies and leave him alone,” the leader of National Accord Party, presidential candidate Aram Harutyunian declared at the meeting with reporters today.
He said that if the candidates leave Serzh Sargsyan alone, he “will not receive even 50% of the votes, if, of course, the election is not rigged”.

Aram Harutyunian noted that no false candidates are running in this election. “There were such candidates in the previous elections, and they currently live in cellars of HHK (Republican Party of Armenia)”, he said, pointing out Artashes Geghamian, Vazgen Manukian and some others.

Aram Harutyunian expressed conviction that there should be a run-off. According to him, he is prepared to back the candidate who will become Serzh Sargsyan’s rival in the run-off.

In conclusion, Aram Harutyunian said that no debates have taken place between the presidential candidates, there have been mostly monologs, which indicates the absence of competition. He invited all candidates to participate in a debate, noting that all of them avoid debate.
