Mukuchian receives OSCE/ODIHR observation mission

Chairman of Armenia’s Central Election Commission Tigran Mukuchian received today the main staff of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) Observation Mission for the February 18 presidential election in Armenia.
Tigran Mukuchain underlined the importance of the OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission in the upcoming election. He spoke about the preparatory work that CEC has done for the organization and conduct of the election. He attached importance to the courses held for local and district commission members and to measures to raise public awareness and public trust.

The observer mission head Ms. Heidi Tagliavini presented the goals of the mission. According to her, the long-term observers of the OSCE/ODIHR mission will arrive in Armenia next week. They will visit district election commissions and familiarize themselves with their work.
