A. Harutyunian not rules out candidacy withdrawal 10 days before election
The authorities are appalled: it appears that 8 million drams are enough to bring about change of power in Armenia. The Chairman of National Accord Party, presidential candidate Aram Harutyunian said that at a meeting with reporters.
He complained again that a black PR campaign is being conducted against him, which is also evident from the fact that “until recently I was ignored by the mass media”.
When asked what three decrees he will issue at first in case of becoming President, Aram Harutyunian replied: “Political will is the first step the country needs. Serzh Sargsyan’s program is quite good, but it lacks political will”.
In his words, the authorities would be glad if he dropped out of the race right now. “I consider the election campaign important. I favor the idea that presidential candidates should drop out of the race even ten days before the election,” he said, at the same time not ruling out that he too may withdraw his candidacy ten days before the election.
