Mayor: Economic entities must improve adjacent areas

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian positively assessed the snow cleaning work done in the city. He expressed that opinion at a consultation today.

The mayor gave instructions concerning the cleaning of pavements, including strict control to ensure that all economic entities in the administrative districts improve the adjacent areas. This provision is also stipulated in the Law on Additions and Amendments to the RA Code of Administrative Infractions, by which Yerevan mayor and the officials selected by his decision will henceforth also have the right to impose administrative sanctions.

“We have the authority to hold responsible all economic entities, which will not perform their obligations. This applies not only to snow cleaning, but also to the obligation to keep their adjacent areas clean, well-groomed, and green throughout the year,” the mayor said.
