Authorities to limit themselves to 65% of votes

“The incumbent president will definitely win the presidential election, whereas the remaining seven candidates are running in the election for participation’s sake”, political technologist Karen Kocharian said at the meeting with reporters today.

He shared the opinion that some numbers will be “painted” in the election, noting, however, that they will be “painted” in favor of the opposition. “I think the authorities will not wish to collect 80% of the votes and for this reason they will limit themselves to 65% “.

According to K. Kocharian, an alternation of generations is needed in the political field. “It does not mean that a concrete leader should be necessarily nominated as a candidate in the presidential election. I cannot understand the logic of those candidates who have been nominated several times; they have even tied webs to some candidates and party leaders”.

In conclusion, the political technologist said that the present stage and the Election Day will be uninteresting, but some interesting developments are going to take place after the election. “Yet the opposition does not have enough potential to make the public take to the squares”.
